Registration payment

  • Registration fee applies as per the date of payment.
  • Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
  • Pre-event registration payments can be made by credit card, debit card or invoice.
  • Registrations can be paid for by invoice until 7 September 2023 inclusive. After this date, registration payments can only be
    made by credit or debit card.
  • Invoice payments will need to be settled within 30 days of the registration date to be valid.
  • Online registration will close on 6 October 2023.
  • From 6 October 2023, all outstanding pre-registration payments will be required to pay the relevant Onsite registration fee.
  • Onsite payments at the Congress will be accepted by credit card, debit card or cash.
  • Onsite access badges will only be issued to their holder upon presentation of identity papers.
    Badges are non-exchangeable and cannot be resold.
  • Unless otherwise specified, registration fees only cover admission to the Congress. Delegates are responsible for covering all other expenses, including travel, accommodation, and food and beverages.
  • Certificates of attendance will be issued upon completion of a feedback survey after the Congress. Certificates of attendance will not be available beyond 8 April 2024.

Booking modifications

  • Modifications can be made to existing registrations free of charge online, including the name and/or email address of the person attending the event on a purchased booking. Modifications can be processed on the registration platform here.
  • A fee of USD 20.00 will be charged per delegate substitution processed on site at the Congress venue.

Cancellation terms

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing to enquiries@figo2023.org by 18 September 2023 in order to qualify for a refund.
  • General attendees are entitled to a full refund, excluding any transaction fees paid, less an administrative fee of EUR 20.00.
  • Accompanying individuals are entitled to a full refund, excluding any transaction fees paid, less an administrative fee of USD 10.00.
  • We are unable to issue refunds for non-attendance on the day.
  • If the decision is made by FIGO to revert the World Congress 2023 to a virtual or hybrid event, delegates will be refunded the difference between their in-person registration fee and the new registration fee. Delegates will be entitled to a full refund if the World Congress is cancelled entirely.FIGO will not be responsible for refunding any costs associated with travel or accommodation or any administration charges associated with the cancellation of travel or accommodation.

Visa requirements

  • It is the delegate’s responsibility to check visa requirements for entry into France and, if required, apply for a visa to travel to and attend the FIGO World Congress 2023. FIGO cannot take responsibility for declined visa applications or applications not processed in time.
  • A visa letter of invitation can only be issued to delegates who have paid all registration fees in full. A letter of invitation should not be considered as an official invitation to cover any fees or other expenses.

Data processing consent

  • The information supplied to by individuals who register for the Congress and related events is processed via secure registration software held on a secure server.
  • Data is processed in compliance with UK and EU data protection laws.
  • By registering for the event, you are consenting to being contacted by the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) regarding the event and your registration.

Unauthorised Providers

  • Please be vigilant when making online registration and accommodation reservations. Many large events are targeted by fraudulent or unauthorised websites offering accommodation and registration to delegates. Often these websites are designed to look like the official Congress website. Online registration for FIGO is only ever provided through this official FIGO Congress website (www.figo2023.org), and FIGO can only allow delegates access to the event if they have registered and paid via the official FIGO Congress website. FIGO will make best efforts to report fraudulent websites to the relevant authorities but cannot control external websites and cannot take responsibility for delegates that make bookings and payments via fraudulent or unauthorised websites.


  • Delegates are advised to take out their own insurance to cover travel, personal possessions and cancellation. FIGO cannot protect delegates against cancellation of bookings, cancellation or disruption of travel, or theft or damage to personal possessions.
  • In the unlikely event the Congress is cancelled or postponed, FIGO is unable to refund any travel and/or accommodation costs that have already been incurred by the delegate, or any administration charges relating to cancellation of travel or accommodation.


  • All efforts will be made to deliver the scientific programme as advertised. FIGO and its suppliers reserve the right to alter or cancel without prior notice any of the arrangements for reasons beyond FIGO’s reasonable control. FIGO and its suppliers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alterations.
  • Some of the information provided in the programme will be provided by external sources. Although every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of the content, FIGO accepts no responsibly in that regard.
  • FIGO does not endorse or recommend any products or services provided or promoted by Congress sponsors. Activities carried out by Congress sponsors are not planned, sponsored or endorsed by FIGO. Sponsored symposia are not part of, or an official activity of, FIGO. The content of sponsored activities and opinions expressed by presenters are those of the sponsor or presenters and not of FIGO.
  • FIGO is committed to its events being representative of the varied experiences of the attending delegates. FIGO will make every effort to ensure all Congress programme activities are diverse and representative in terms of gender and regional representation. FIGO cannot guarantee that unforeseen or last-minute circumstances will not result in some sessions becoming less gender or geographically balanced than originally intended, due to speaker changes.


  • Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, French and Spanish for all plenary sessions. Other scientific sessions will be conducted in one of these languages without interpretation. No other languages will be available.

Code of conduct

  • FIGO encourages the principles of open discussion and interaction as essential elements of participation among all Congress attendees.
  • FIGO will not tolerate behaviour that leads to harm, prejudice or disruption during the Congress, including the threat or use of physical force by any individual or group of individuals against person or property.
  • FIGO reserves the right to revoke Congress registration and name badges, therefore denying access to individuals who do not adhere to these principles.
    The safety and wellbeing of Congress attendees is our priority. If any attendee witnesses, experiences or suspects any behaviour in breach of the Code of Conduct, they are encouraged to report this to a member of staff of FIGO, the Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) or security team. We will respond as soon as possible and take appropriate action.

Photography and filming notice

  • The Congress will be photographed and some activities will be recorded.
  • By attending the Congress, delegates give consent to FIGO and partners to photograph, record and store their likeness, audio and name, and also to publish, republish, or otherwise transmit still and moving images of their likeness, audio and name during and after the Congress for any purpose related to FIGO or partner activities, including commercial, promotional, fundraising and educational purposes.
  • Non-flash photography at the Congress for personal use is permitted, but flash photography, photography for commercial use or any recording of activities at the Congress is forbidden without prior written permission of FIGO.
