EACCME - European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education

The XXIV FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Paris, France, 09/10/2023  13/10/2023 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 28 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME®
credit to AMA credit can be found at https://www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Each participant can only receive the number of credits they are entitled to according to their actual participation at the event. Actual participation at the event is validated by scanning participants’ badges as they enter a CME accredited activity.

Please ensure you present yourself to the usher as you enter each session room to have your badge scanned.

The EACCME® awards ECMEC®s on the following basis:

  •  1 hour of live educational event (LEE) CME activity = 1 ECMEC®.
  •  1 accredited hour of LEE = 60 minutes of actual educational activity.
  •  A participant can claim a maximum of 8 ECMEC®s per day of the LEE.

Delegates will receive a link to complete the CME survey by email on 23 October 2023.

Delegates who complete the CME survey by 8 November 2023 will receive their CME certificate by 2 January 2024.

Delegates who complete the CME survey after 8 November 2023 and before 31 December 2023 will receive their CME certificate by 31 January 2024.

Please note that completion of the CME survey is required to receive a CME certificate.

The final deadline to complete the CME survey is 31 December 2023.
